Established in 1899, Located in Crown Heights. The Brooklyn Children's Museum is said to be one of the first Museum in the United States
It's said that you could see the change in History through the Museums Art Exhibition, with the original mission being focus on Natural Science it started focusing more on Technology and Cultural Awareness after World War 2.
Known to be the "Heart of Brooklyn" the Museum went from underground Gallery to a space located on St. Marks and Brooklyn Ave near Brower Park, where they let children contribute in planning Museum Exhibits.
This piece of History is the first Green Museum in New York City and might be one of the FIRST museum in the world. With a Roof Top terrace and hands on activities, this museum was built especially for children's with low hand rail and Porthole Windows. Now larger and better the Brooklyn Children's Museum is a pioneer in Education for children.
