Red Hook Jazz Festival 2013 June 9 & June 16. Big Bang Production present the Red hook Festival 2013 on two consecutive Sunday at the Urban Meadow.
Featuring live performances by local bands and artists. This event is a great way yo introduce your kids to jazz. This rare music fest that's both family-friendly and cutting edge.
Celebrating it's 6th installment, this year Red Hook Jazz Festival line-up features some of the world most forward thinking jazz and composers playing with a focus on female artists and drummers, featuring the vocalist fay Victor, pianist Kris Davis, and saxophonist Ingrid Laubrock and Alison Miller (in both categories), Clarence Penn, Mike Pride, Mark Feber, Willie Martinez, Ted Poor and Tom Rainey.
The Red Hook Jazz Festival prides itself on being a home grown Jazz Festival, featuring amazing line-up of mostly local talent.
Where other Festival rely on corporate, sponsors hips and donations, the Red Hook Jazz Festival is an all volunteer event proud to support a wide variety of superb figures in New York City and Brooklyn jazz both young and old.
