The Brooklyn Music Festival will take place Sunday September 7, 2014 at 2 PM at Commodore Barry Park in Fort Greene Brooklyn. 

The producers of the Brooklyn Music Festival is giving you another reason to love Brooklyn. They are spreading the LOVE said Nova Bonilla, CEO and Founder of NEGNYC. 

With a line up as diverse as Brooklyn, the festival will feature performers representing Alternative/Indie Rock, Disco, Funk, Country, Hip Hop and R&B Music. 

Come and dance to the music, The Brooklyn Music Festival will feature local emerging talents of,


                 Closing out the evening is the legendary DJ Tony Touch!

Frank McFly and Wavey's World "Back to School Cookout"


It's always good to support your community and the things they are doing, especially when they are  young men and women. I want to say thank Frank McFly and Wavey's World for extending an invitation out to me for their "Back to School Cookout. 

Fully loaded with 100+ Bookbags, Music by Dj O, Pictures by #VDotPhotography. Free Food and Drinks and Entertainment at P.S 401 in Brownsville Brooklyn. Not only the bookbag were fully loaded, so was Fank McFly & Wavey's World, with a team of volunteers. Children was enjoying the weather that was present  and the Bouncey Slide.

Doing the right thing is what I perform, and the right thing to do is give them the credit they deserve. These young men pulled at short notice event, an event to benefit  school age children in our community and other communities. It turned out to be fabulous, 100 + bookbags were given out. You see, Brownsville is a community, it may not show it on the News, but we are.  A community that does and will do for the people.

2014 Caribbean Carnival Week/ West Indian American Day Parade.



                       Brooklyn, West Indian Day Parade/Carnival.

With the Afro Punk Festival, Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival and  Celebrate Brooklyn done, we now celebrate the end of the summer with West Indian Parade and yes the summer is officially over after this great festivity.


The Caribbean Day Carnival Day Parade will be held Sept 1, 2014 from 11 am-6 pm. The parade will be held at Eastern Parkway, from Utica Ave ending at Grand Army Plaza.

All Pre-Parade shows will be held on the grounds of The Brooklyn Museum. Thursday marks the official kick-off event for Caribbean Carnival Week.




Thursday, Aug 28-Caribbean Woodstock: 7 PM to 1 AM.
Will feature artists from the Caribbean as Skinny Banton, Adrian Dutchin, Problem Child, Ricardo Drue, Mickey, Zouk & the gang, Statement, Surette Bon Bon, Boodoosing Tassa Drummer and more! Complete with traditional Ole' Mas and Individual costume competitions.



Friday, Aug 29, 2014: Stay in School Youth Fest, Free Admission from 10 AM - 2 PM.
Stay In School Youth Talent Show is a free event that pairs a message about staying in school with talent competition.


Friday August 29, 2014: Brass Fest, a Brass Band Competition 8 PM to 3 AM
Running from Friday of the carnival week until the wee hours of the morning. The 2014 Brass Fest Concert/party features     direct from Ghana for the first time Blakk Rasta, Teddyson John and the Project, Red Fyah Band and more. Doors open at 6 PM.


Saturday, August 30, 2014:The Junior Carnival Parade 9 AM until 3 PM sharp.
Competing in their own Costume Parade. Route begins at the corner of Kingston Ave & St.Johns Place continues to Franklin Ave & President St ending at Brooklyn Museum grounds



Saturday, August 30 2014: Panorama steel band Evening:  6 PM until 3 AM
A night of pan. West Indian Steel Bands compete in a fabulous Carnival Event.




Sunday August 31, 2014 Dimanche Gras: All Star Steel Band 7 PM goes until 1 AM.
Watch and hear the best West Indian Steel Band compete in this fabulous Carnival Event.



Monday September 1, 2014 West Indian American Day Parade: 11 AM - 6 PM.
