So for 2013 they are coming together again. Even stronger. Join them May 4 at Littlefield to celebrate the life of Adam.
The festivities will kick of at 11 am at Littlefield, a performance and art space which is one of Brooklyn's hidden treasure, with art to view, music to vibe to, folks to chill with and a few surprises to bring you joy and they have the big ol' boombox and a grip of fresh Batteries.
There is NO cost to attend. However, as generosity and activism were huge part of Adam,s life they will honor his vision by offering opportunities to contribute to a number of local charities.
Adam was an American Rapper, Musician, Film Director and Human Right Activist.
He was best known as a founding member of the Hip Hop group Beastie Boys.
He was frequently know by his stage name, MCA, and sometimes worked under the pseudonym Nathial Hornblower, Yauch founded oscilloscope Laboratories, an independent film production and distribution company based in New York City.
A Buddhist, he was involved in the Tibetan Independence Movement and organized the Tibetan Freedom. Adam was born in Brooklyn, New York and attended Edward R. Murrow H.S. in Brooklyn's Midwood Neighborhood.
My daughter attended Edward R. Murrow, Such talent comes from there. My daughter played the violin with the orchestra. So go and pay your respect and celebrating a life taken to soon.
