Atlantic Ave. Tree Lighting Party and their Beautiful Windows Display

What's up New York? was at the Atlantic Ave Tree Lighting Party at the Belarusian Church located at 401 Atlantic Ave in Brooklyn.

This event was sponsored by Atlantic Ave Local Development Corporation and it was free and opened to the public.

Holiday Window Display Winners announcements.
Windows display is judged on Artistic Mechandising, and creative Window Display. This Award is given to Merchants for their aesthetic contribution to the neighborhoods of Brooklyn Height, Cobble Hill, Downtown Brooklyn and Boreum Hill.

Atlantic Ave has i believe the most beautiful Window Display I've seen. They are all winners to me. Very Vintage and Antique looking, gives it that Brooklyn feeling which is what we Brooklynites love about Brooklyn.

During this festive event, a toy or book was collected for the holiday gifts for children living in the neighborhood's Public Housing that was impacted by Hurricane Sandy.

The annual Tree lighting ceremony is a popular Holiday event that brings people from various neighborhood like, Brooklyn Height, Cobble Hill, Downtown Brooklyn and Boreum Hill.

Children from local school PS 38 and PS 261 was singing holiday songs and spreading Christmas spirit. Which is what we all need in  light of Hurricane Sandy.

Big moment came when Santa made his appearance,  the kids loved it, gathering around him. He was the sweetest Santa, posing for pictures with me.

Great performance by Roli Polie Guacamole, the Award-Winning Brooklyn Based Jam Band, we sure did jammed to there music even me, kids loved it.
