Street Fairs and Festivals this Weekend in Brooklyn.





No plans for the Weekend? Well, here is a list of Street Fairs and Festivals going on in Brooklyn.
  1. Prospect Park Fair: Saturday April 26, 2014, 11 am-4 pm. This is a free event, (rain or shine).  http://www.prospectpark.org/calendar/event/prospect-park-fair
  • A performance by Brooklyn's Uncle Majic "The Hip Hop Magician". 
  • Mix of tunes and music games from Dj Steve Papa of CD Steev Entertainment.
  • Pop-up Audon nature activities. 
  • 19th Century Lawn Games.
  • Exhibits from the Leffert Historic House.
  • A mini-net for tennis play with the Prospect Park Tennis Center.
  • A sampling of cuisines from the food trucks presented by The New York Food Truck Association.
  • Special appearence by the Brooklyn's Cyclone's Sandy the Seaqull.

2. Puppetry Arts Family Festival: April 26, 2014, 11am-3 pm. Park Slope by the Old Stone House.This is a free event.

  • Games and Prizes
  • Merchants and Promotional booth throughout the event.
This great family event helps raise awareness for the youth outreach provided by the group in the community. The Puppetry Theatre has invited the 501st Legion's Empire City Garrison tho the 5th ave Family Festival.

3. Fifth Annual Park Slope Family Festival: April 26, 2014 11-3 pm. Washington Park, 4th Street at 5th ave Park.

4. Earth Day in Prospect Park: April 27, 2014 12-4 pm at Prospect Park Audubon Center. Join the alliance at the Audubon Center to celebrate Earth Day.http://www.prospectpark.org/calendar/event/earthday

  • Learn about the responsible fishing from New York State Department of Environmental Conservation.
  • Cleaning up the Lake Shore 
  • Learning about birds of prey
  • Making your own instruments using recycling materials.
The day is topped off with an exciting performance and parade by Bash the Trash
